SuitCar (In Process)

Medium: pine wood, dowel rods, casted glass, Arduino sound sensor, motor
Dimension: 14", 10", 7"

Solo Project Nov 2014

Inspired by minimalism and simplicity in contemporary design and 3D modeling, this sculpture is to arouse attention to contemporary issues, such as the anxiety that industrial products like cars have brought. It is a wood sculpture and an interactive device that vibrates from loud sounds. It has four simplified car geometries assembled together and an Arduino mirco-controller board on the back. The intension is to put it on a pathway or parking lot to detect the sound. When a real car passes, as a response, this car suitcase will vibrate automatically and frantically.

The sculpture part is finished. I have been testing with sensors and motors for the vibration. The project will be finished in Feb/March.
